About Emily Naphtal

Emily Naphtal is the owner of Stephens Naphtal Law PLLC 

where she practices employment and civil rights law. She represents employees in their discrimination, harassment, and accommodation related claims; and she counsels employers on how to best promote diverse and productive workplaces.

Emily Naphtal  earned her B.A. in History from Harvard College in 2011 and her J.D. from New York University School of Law in 2015. She served as Public Interest Fellow to plaintiff-side employment law firm, Outten & Golden, from 2015 to 2017 where she represented employees and coordinated the firm’s pro bono program. During law school, Emily served in Washington, D.C. at the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Office of General Counsel, where she worked both in the Appellate Litigation Division, and directly for General Counsel, P. David Lopez. She also worked on employment law matters as a legal intern at the ACLU Women’s Rights Project, and as a member of the year- long NYU Employment and Housing Discrimination Clinic. In 2014, in her role as the Senior Symposium Editor of NYU’s Journal of International Law and Politics, Emily organized a symposium on the human rights of migrants in the United States.
